Hilton Baptist Church  Custodian (Part-Time)


Hilton Baptist Church (HBC) is looking to add a part-time facilities support person to our team. In this role, you will make HBC a welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone who visits our house of worship. You will clean and maintain the facilities so that they are prepared and ready to host church activities. This is a Monday thru Thursday 24 hours per week. 0730-1400 (including lunch and breaks)


  • Clean interior facilities including classrooms, restrooms, common areas, gymnasium, and worship venues, including walls
  • Sweep and mop all washable floors with approved germicidal solution
  • Change out lights bulbs, as required
  • Wash windows (sills), remove trash, vacuum, clean tables, wash dishes, and perform other miscellaneous tasks
  • Maintain all rest rooms with the necessary hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other paper products
  • Set-up and tear down chairs, tables, and some decorations for church events
  • Assist with exterior cleaning and maintenance of facilities including landscape maintenance, snow removal, minor trash pickup, etc.
  • Utilizes and takes care of the equipment and supplies provided to them by the church
  • Works with safety of self and others in mind as their number one priority
  • Provide a schedule for daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly items


  • Possess a high school diploma or hold a general education degree (GED)
  • Valid Driver License – Driving/travel requirements for this position may be required
  • You must be able to work while bending, kneeling, squatting, or working overhead.  
  • Carry out written or verbal instructions accurately
  • Good work ethic and the ability to work independently (unsupervised)
  • Be familiar with and operate correctly all custodial equipment (ladders, buffers, carpet cleaners)
  • Be in good physical health
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Should not be afraid of heights and have good balance
Social Security taxes will be withheld and matched by the church. This position reports to and will fall under the Administrative Assistant as point of contact and the leader of the People’s Support Committee Chairman.
